Lots of NBA merchandise is designed for men. Other items -- such as the t-shirts given out at playoff games -- are unisex.
But these new officially licensed NBA items are strictly for the ladies: Team-themed heels by HERSTAR, available in two designs. They're pricey ($100 for suede, $250 for crystal). They're gaudy. But they certainly catch the eye -- and they're the first, ahem, step in the Association's aim to further serve women who love the NBA.
Said Lisa Piken, vice president of licensing for the NBA, in a press release: "[These heels are] not only fashionable but also comfortable -- perfect for our female fans.”
Step right up, Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder fans (and fans of all other teams, for that matter) ...
